DAKCHALIOU 2 HYDRO POWER PLANT

The Dakchaliou II HHP  is expected to locate on Nam Pa Gnou  river  and its tributary stream in the vicinity of Dakchung district  Sekong province. Dam site will be constructed at location where  is about 20 Km from Dakchung district and 10 Km  far from  Vietnam- Lao border into the west, 120 Km from Sekong  Province into the northeast  in the route. The project is expected  to construct at site between  Sekaman 3 Damsite  and power  house . It is geographical coordinates are within:  15°24'16.80"to15°25'11.48"Northern latitude  and107°24'42.88"to107°25 '22.56"longitude  The catchment area of Dakchaliou II   at dam site is 125 Km2. Normal water level is 685 m and dead water level  is 681m. Area of reservoir  surface confirming to NWL is 0.049  Km2.  Installed capacity              :  13 MW  Annual average energy output            : E0 = 51.823   x 106 KWh  Turbine type                                        : Francis  Number of units                                   :  Z = 2 units  FIRR             : 12.95%  EIRR             : 11.96 %   Payback period             : 8-11 years Total investment cost estimate            : 25,413,000 USD
