NAM NGUM - NANIN HYDRO POWER PLANT

Namgum – Nanin HPP is expected to locate on Nam Ngum river, in ban Nanin , ViengKham District, Vientiane province  ,11 KM far from the  dam site of Nam Ngum1 HPP on the downstream. Nam Ngum - Nanin  is about 70 KM from Vientiane Capital toward the Northeast.The  catchment area of Nam Ngum – Nanin   at dam site is 14,250 KM2. Normal water level is 168 M and dead water level  is 167.5 M. Area of  reservoir surface confirming to NWL is 3  KM2. It is geographical coordinates are within:  18°28'10" Northern Latitude and 102°31'26"  longitude Installed capacity            :  36 MW Annual average energy output            : E0 = 154.14 x 106 KWh Turbine type                                        : Bulb turbine Number of units                                   :  Z = 3 units FIRR            : 12.09 % EIRR            : 15.36  % Payback period            : 14-15  years Total investment cost estimate            : 79.841  Million USD
